Phenomedia specialized in quality casual gaming, and their cartoon chickens quickly became recognizable. The game officially launched worldwide in 2001 through TopWare Interactive. Chicken Shoot 2 and the Gold Edition
In 2002, Phenomedia released Chicken Shoot 2. The sequel adds new settings (forest, desert, farm), more chicken types, extra weapons, and bonus mini-games. The game keeps the spirit of the first while widening the experience.
Chicken Shoot Gold came later as a premium edition. It combines both games, adds exclusive bonuses, unlockable weapons, and a challenge mode for hardcore players. It is the most complete version of the PC era, still findable today on GOG and Steam.
The Game Arrives on Consoles
The Windows success caught the eye of console makers. Phenomedia and TopWare launched a series of ports tailored to each machine. Each version plays to the strengths of its platform.

A Greatest Hits edition with Lightgun support. Sony added the game to its mainstream catalog for Sunday-afternoon family sessions.
